Funny Hook Videos for Reels, TikTok & Shorts
Funny hooks open on a laugh: a fail, a fake-out or a pratfall, before anyone has decided whether to care. This category has 48 free funny transition clips (live count, October 2026). Download one free, with no sign-up, add it to the start of your video and cut to your own footage.
Why funny hooks work
A laugh in the first second gives people a reason to stay for the next one. A funny opener also sets the tone, so viewers expect the rest of your video to be fun too.
Who funny hooks are for
Made for comedy and meme accounts, and for everyday creators who want an opener people send to a friend. They also suit any video with a light or self-deprecating angle, like a cooking fail or a gym blooper.
How to use these funny hooks
Tap download on any clip above (MP4) and put it at the very start of your own Reel, TikTok or Short. Cut to your video right as the fail lands, then say your hook over the first second of your own footage. Keep the cut quick: the clip is the opener, your video is the content.
