The POV has to be something your viewer wants to be true for them. If it's only an observation, it falls flat.

Instagram Reels hook tips

• Make frame one readable. Put the hook on screen in the first frame, so it works for anyone watching with the sound off.
• Keep the text to the hook. Instagram lists reels that are mostly text on screen among the ones it may show less (About Instagram). Let the video carry the rest.
• Hook for the watch-through. Instagram says it predicts how likely you are to reshare a reel, watch it all the way through, like it and go to its audio page (About Instagram). So write a hook the Reel can pay off.
